K-Gr 2-Big Bear is left to baby-sit Little Bear while their mother runs an errand. Trying to substantiate his "can do anything" big-brother role, he falls for his sibling's dares (standing on his head, jumping on the sofa, swinging from the curtain, etc.) and in the process, of course, leaves the house in shambles. Bear's regrettable taunting of his brother is hardly endearing but young listeners should enjoy the boys' no-you-can't/yes-I-can repetitive dialogue as well as the cuddly watercolors.
